Cheers - It's Banned Books Week
This celebration was begun in 1982 by that bunch of wooly headed liberals, the American Library Association.
I've read some of the lists of books that have been either challenged or banned over the years. If all the challenges succeeded, the libraries would have nothing but empty shelves.

I posted some time back about sending banned books to the charitable organizations that are collecting books to send to decimated libraries in N.O.
