The Human Cost of War

Readers may have noticed that Is America Burning now has a counter in the sidebar of how many of America's children (men and women) have been slaughtered in Iraq, just above the counter for the incredible cost of this unspeakable war.

How many more? How many more native civilians? How much more destruction? How much longer will Americans tolerate these atrocities before the nation rises up en masse to put an end to it, impeach and prosecute the guilty?

Now we find that our elected representatives, the Democrats, have wimped out and allowed these obscenities to go on. See Granny's post , second below this one.

Not only do our sons and daughters sacrifice their lives for our government's corporate fascism, greed for money and imperial power, that fuels horrific human right's abuses globally and spawn "ethnic cleansing" in Iraq and other parts of the globe, Bush's war is destabilizing the entire globe and wiping out hard won efforts at civilization of the nations.

Please see the post immediately below this one for other horrors Bush's war has brought about.

Betrayal of the American people, betrayal of our troops, and more of our sons and daughters to be sacrificed and maimed? You bet your bippy we are back! Threaten the lives of our nation's young and the future of our country, and even old great-grandmas come out swinging.
