NOTICE TO OUR FRIENDS AND READERS

For a brief time this blog will be on hiatus. We ask our faithful friends and readers to please check in now and then to see if we are back online and not to abandon us. I will oversee the blog for updates.

Undoubtedly everyone knows that Granny Ann has lost her beloved daughter, Carol. See post below. We do not expect Granny to concern herself with political blogging at this most difficult time. She must deal with her pain and loss, which is grievous, be strong for her family, care for an ill husband and 3 lovely great grand daughters, and maintain her household. She struggles under a terrible burden. I know that everyone who knows and loves her, including her blogging friends, feel deep sympathy and concern for her.

The Future Was Yesterday has dubbed the 3 partners on this blog "the Golden Girls", as we are all senior citizens. At present, the Golden Girls are suffering setbacks, although neither Worried nor Gadfly suffer as severely as that of Granny Ann. Gadfly is experiencing health problems and unpleasant hospital tests that spark her most vociferous and sometimes salty complaints. Worried is dealing with health problems also as well as multiple family crises at once among my very large, extended family that require my attention, support, time and energy. I am out of town a great deal at this time.

But never fear, dear friends and readers, like MacArthur, "We shall return!" and the South shall rise again!
