Addendum to Education Posts Below

Please read Granny's post below about truthful history books! I am astonished!

This post is a comment on "No Child Left Behind..." posted below. It was too good to hide on the comment box so I am publishing it on the front page.

Children are our future. They are the future of this country, of the world, of the human race. The molding of their minds should not be left in the hands of self serving politicians and their cronies. Their education is therefore important to non-parents or empty-nesters who care about the future. It is essential that parents, educators and communities work together in a strong partnership to assure the best for the children.

I believe in children and our young people! WA

As a mom of three and educator of thousands I feel your pain, hear your case and truly know that we all we be heard one day - and hopefully not too late for the children's well being.

Our country needs to realize one very simple fact - the most formative years of a person's development are birth - five. Let's concentrate on giving sound foundations in the areas which we need to impact: second language learning, physical fitness and literacy skills. The early years are when we can impact our young children so why doesn't our country focus on these parents and teachers and the children they reach daily? Why don't we make more readily available the whys, the whens and the how tos for those responsible for molding and developing the youth of our country?

I strongly urge a continued voicing of discontent with the current system and a constant providing of solutions for turning things around in a direction that embraces physically fit young children, bilingual young children and early readers. As an early childhood educator and language learning series creator I am surrounded daily by tools, tips and techniques that could instantly assist our country's efforts with ease, fun and affordability. They need to look beyond their comfort zone, look for the innovative and far-reaching solutions entrepreneurs nation-wide are creating for the future of our country.

Happy Educating!

Look to see who publishes the textbooks and who sets forth their content. Texas companies. The only business that is on contract to change testing content has Jeb Bush as either an owner or shareholder. I'll look up all this info and post it. It is BS.
Crazy Horse is my hero. He fought for freedom from oppessors for his people.

    Peace.

Here it is. The State of Texas has authority over what gors into a textbook in the United States:

Also, this PDF file tells how it is done, but is vague as they don't identify the governing authority:
