Core Values?

Reflecting the theocratic view of the conservatives on the Hill. The Religious Right/ Christian Reconstructionists/Dominionists aim to put women back in the home where they "belong" and out of politics, activism, outside jobs, and force them to avoid birth control. They will be allowed to home school their children, strictly by RR guidelines, and attend to home chores - housekeeping, kitchen and bedroom duties. Maintain "core values". Check out Kvatch's post. Quote:
Recently appointed Bureau Director John Bolton said of the coins: "...to create a coin with a solid conservative message. I mean, what does it say...putting women on our money? Sacagawea? Toting her kid on her back? Obviously employed outside the home--a rejection of a core American value, I'd say.And don't even get me started with Susan B. Anthony.
"The history of America is the history of great male achievements. So we're gonna find some crusty old white guys to engrave on our dollars."

PS: read the comments after Kvatch's post. Some are quite witty. WA

As Granny said in one of her previous posts, our politicians lie to us, conceal their true beliefs and agendas, but once in a while one of them slips up and reveals their true beliefs and goals. Bolton's remarks exemplifies the conservative and theocratic view of women. WA

Yeah, the religious right are to be feared. The Handmaid's Tale said it all.

What's happened to all the anti-attacking Iran articles? Have people given up?

    Cheers!

Hey WA, I just caught this bit in my post's "links" section. Thanks for the menion.

I actually really like the Sacagawea dollars and wish they'd caught on. I kept trying to get them, but nobody but the banks had any. It's a bummer that they're now going to go and use the presidents. Not that I have anything against the presidents...well...against all but one that is.
