McClellan press conference today

Helen Thomas puts McClellan on the spot.

and now Seymour Hirsch writing in the New Yorker. Are we planning to attack Iran? Evidently, we are. Will it be a disaster that makes Iraq look like a kids' snowball fight? Of course it will. Is this administration insane? What do you think?

and Our Liar-in-Chief on the same subject

Why bother even reading it.

I was going to leave it that and then I found this from Susan G. writing in KOS today.

The Administration is expert at pitting neighbor against neighbor, the young against the elderly, the cities against the farms, one religion against another, you get the idea and Susan G. says it well.

Ben Franklin said it even better:

"We must hang together, gentlemen...else, we shall most assuredly hang separately."

Weather note: Merced Country now officially state disaster area. It took long enough.

JEEZ NO! I just ...... get so angry thinking that we may be going into Iran. I have been talking it over with my spouse ...actually a few of us have been talking about it.... do you think that Bush will try and somehow declare a state of emeregnecy so that the elections don't run in '08? With the Repulicans not having a good canidate I just worry that..... I donno.... I just donno..... as much as I hated what Clinton did in so much of his presidency this war stuff is SO much worse.

If you mean he'll declare himself emperor for life, why not? He's above the law so what do little things like term limits and elections mean.

Maybe it's not fair to blame the Shrubbies, but it sure seems that after he became president, our lives went to crap and the country did pretty much the same. Clinton may not deserve the credit, but it seemed everyone around me was doing better in his day. I'd have him back over this Shrub in a heartbeat.
