Bush's Surge

How Many More Does Bush Want??

Bush set to announce 20K troop surge in Iraq:

Administration officials stress the military option is only one part
of a larger, more comprehensive strategy. The plan also would throw
more U.S. money at Iraq for reconstruction and a jobs program.

How many soldier deaths will the public tolerate?:

As Bush weighs options for a new "way forward", including the

possibility of a "surge" of more U.S. forces, the question about
more casualties in a failed cause is just as vital as it was toward
the end of the Vietnam War.

Where's the Outrage Over Escalation?:

Is there any more plausible explanation for Bush's behavior than that
he is willing to sacrifice more troops so he won't have to admit - at
least not yet - that he made a mistake? Is that a good enough reason to
ask even one more soldier to die?

This is so stupid and depressing. I will write about this soon.

Bush is thumbing his nose at every single American. He is living proof that having a President is a bad, bad move.

Why doesn't America get rid of the Presidency, get rid of a corrupt level of government that doesn't work for the benefit of the people but to reward a small elite? How many more idiots have to sit in the White House before your people question the sensibility of giving one person so much power?

I hope that Australia, with all its faults, NEVER becomes a republic!

No new years resolution here, but I will attempt to walk the walk and not merely talk the talk in my home.

The e-mail, letter writing, phone calls and petition signings have begun in earnest at the spadoman household.

Time to get busy and do MORE to end this war. Every human spirit needs to do one little thing more than we did before.

Thanks for your post. Peace to you and to all.

Spadoman. While you're at it, check out Kvatch's Kommandos. Have some fun and send a message at the same time.

Daniel. Back in the long forgotten days of check and balances, our system worked. Now it's turned into a pissing contest with a maniac at the helm.
