November 11, Veterans Day ; GENERATIONS OF VALOR

A PICTURE IS WORTH 1,000 WORDS.

Pearl Harbor survivor Houston James of Dallas embraced Marine Staff Sgt. Mark Greunke, Jr. during a Veteran Day Commemoration in Dallas. Greunke lost a hand, a leg, and an eye when he defused a bomb in Iraq.

Today's warriors' great grandparents went to war to fight against imperialistic governments bent on world conquest.

Today's warriors are sent to war to fight on behalf of an imperialistic government bent on world conquest.

Have we learned nothing in nearly seventy years? Is America doomed to go the way of previous nations striving for empire?

The sacrifices of today's military members are no less brave and honorable than those of their ancestors. Only the motivation of government is cowardly and dishonorable.

STOP America's bid for empire. STOP the slaughter and maiming of innocent civilians. STOP the maiming and slaughter of America's sons and daughters.

BRING OUR TROOPS HOME!

The era of the terrorist gave fear a new way
Ruled out all compassion for military sway
Speak of the devil beware Christian cloak
Time for renewal, cast off bitter yoke

Arise now new leaders with hearts restored
Justice to homeland and for all those abroad
God of non violence, your message to heed
Honour the fallen, troop’s home god -speed

    Best wishes

Look, you need to understand that war means profit and profit means power and power means influence and influence sways governments who wage wars - and wars mean profits...

Sorry but that's the way it is!

Thank you, our Australian friends, for all your support.

    Lindsey, a very apt poem.

    Daniel, so sad, so true.
