More Election Day Problems
I posted the other day about two counties here in CA who have experienced problems with the upcoming election.
We're not alone. I don't have time to list all the problems. They include voting machine meltdown, i.d. requirements in some states, consolidation of polling places (which makes it more difficult for those without transportation to vote), etc.
Truthout spells it out.

I'm looking forward to voting now and in 2008. 8 years of garbage.

Diebold needs to go. It is a joke.

It is intended confusion. Get them used to hearing about all kinds of "problems", then they won't be so surprised come election day.

THIS is the October surprise.
I'm hoping for the best, but expecting the worst.
And, this election fraud issue may be the most important issue of all - more than the war, more than the religious fundamentalists - if we can't participate in our democracy, then wew can hang it all up.

Surely Bush wouldn't pull the same stunts again, would he? Silly question.
As well as the fate of America, the fate of the whole world depends on the outcome of this election. Please guys and gals, do the right thing!

Vote- vote in the USA??? It's a bloody joke. The voting machines resemble third world country technology, the hype of the so called new ones ... unfounded. Besides, what are you voting for - the party or "the party"? Yeah sure, I will punch all the Democratic buttons or touch screen icons come November. But it will make little difference, even if they count my vote. One party is right, and the other-one is righter. What a deal! Democracy on a national level has ceased to exist in the USA - some pockets of local elections and decision making still confer to the latter. But the grand picture is bleak. What are we going to do? Truthfully, I don't know anymore ...
