Little Sister said Mother was like a cat but instead of 9 lives, she had 19. She has come back from death's door so many times. I think Sister half expects Mother to do so again, this time, but I don't think so. However, she has fooled us and the doctors many times already. She does not go readily into that "good night".

I imagine that she will go into that "good night" when she is ready and not before. And if she is anything like me, she will do it however she likes, and not quietly at all. :-)
I feel so bad for you. Even when you know it's coming, it's still always going to be awful.
I am so sorry. I'm praying for you (in my own, weird, quirky way) and will continue to do so.
