House Minority Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) regarding the mix of scandals threatening the White House:
"The privileges of office should not be used to protect someone from the rule of law. President Bush doesn't need to wait for someone else to compile the facts or to use executive privilege to protect his aides from any perceived constitutional encroachment. He can put this whole mess to rest by just giving the American people a thorough, unadulterated account of his actions."
No. Wait.
"President Bush" should read "President Clinton."
And the words were from new House Majority Leader John A. Boehner (R-Ohio) in 1998.
