SAND STORM IN IRAQ; ONE MORE THING FOR TROOPS TO ENDURE

And now, back to the war in Iraq.

In addition to IEDs, VBIEDs, ambushes by insurgents with rifle fire, mortars, grenades, etc., the troops stationed in desert areas and environs must contend with sand storms. In the following brief video the huge cloud approaching and subsequently enveloping the camp is a sand storm.

They are terrible to endure, sand chokes you, gets in eyes, nose, ears, clothing, tents/huts --everywhere. Massive cleanup afterwards.

Welcome to Iraq; welcome to the war.
