CNN.com - Dobbs: Radical groups taking control of immigrant movement - May 1, 2006* Please note the wage comparisons for just one phase of one industry - the meat packers- wages for citizens in 1980 and wages for illegals today, representing a $200 Billion per year loss to America's low skill workers and the exploitation of the illegals for business' profits. Has any of the profits, the decrease in overhead, been passed on to the consumers? Have you noted a decrease in meat prices? Or has the profits gone into the pockets of the business? |

It IS important to American low-skilled workers who are turned away for jobs because employers prefer illegals. This factor is arousing growing resentment and bias which may lead to racial conflict, which we do not need.
It is a problem for the illegals who tolerate the most rampant abuse and exploitation for fear of losing their jobs and possible deportation.
This practise benefits no one except employers.
