More Recess Appointments
From the NYT Editorial page (maybe there's a little life in the old girl yet)
This seemed so inconsequential from the one line on my Yahoo front page that I almost skipped past it. Two more recess appointments? So what. On a scale of 1 to 10 for arrogance, maybe 2-1/2.
I clicked on it anyway. He reappointed two "public" officials whose terms had expired and he did it during recess. Not because there was any emergency but because Congress had advised it was not a good idea. The point of the word "expiring" was to allow fresh thinking. Fresh thinking? What a foreign concept to the person in the Oval Office.
Once again an end run around the democratic process and our citizens.
Each day another example of the disasterous years since 2001. Some big like Iraq, some small like this one. They all involve cheating, lying, willful blindness, and egomania.
