Countdown to WWIII or Armageddon

The U.S.-Iran-Iraq-Israeli-Syrian War
By Robert Parry January 12, 2007
At a not-for-quotation pre-speech briefing on Jan. 10, George W. Bush and his top national security aides unnerved network anchors and other senior news executives with suggestions that a major confrontation with Iran is looming.

Commenting about the briefing on MSNBC after Bush’s nationwide address, NBC’s Washington bureau chief Tim Russert said “there’s a strong sense in the upper echelons of the White House that Iran is going to surface relatively quickly as a major issue – in the country and the world – in a very acute way.”
Russert and NBC anchor Brian Williams depicted this White House emphasis on Iran as the biggest surprise from the briefing as Bush stepped into the meeting to speak passionately about why he is determined to prevail in the Middle East.
“The President’s inference was this: that an entire region would blow up from the inside, the core being Iraq, from the inside out,” Williams said, paraphrasing Bush.

It seems to be a foregone conclusion. One day, the damn fool is going to get up in the morning to find we have no army left....and we are under attack!

FWY: one of my great fears. There is very little defense against terroristic and guerrilla attacks, no matter how large and powerful an army we have left. A scattered few may be captured or eliminated but the enormous core of the enemy is untouched in such cases, and there are always numbers of fresh recruits ready to join the fray. As we further alienate the Muslim world, more and more turn against us and are ready to fight the "great satan". Our open borders make it quite easy for bad people to enter our country.

I heard Dubya speech last Wednesday and I still say the man is incompetent leader. I'm not very good putting my feeling and opinion into words.1. He sure has an ego trip on being commander in chief.2. For some reason he thinks he needs to promote Armageddon.3. I'm not sure if he real doesn't give rats ass about the non rich or he real don't get it.The next day I tried to fine Dubya speech on the web. Their something else was said that I want to read the exact wording.I'm so glad my son have no desire to go into the armed service or least their smart enough to see Dubya policy is full of BS.

FWY: Right as usual. You always are.
Peppylady: You do fine expressing yourself. The important thing is that you participate and communicate. You, too, are right on the money on all points. He definitely has an ego problem; he is a megalomaniac. He thinks we would win in any global conflict, part of his delusions of grandeur and invincibility. And no, he cares absolutely NOTHING about the common man - we are merely resources to be exploited. And we are expendable.
