Beacons of Light

In these seemingly dark days of storm and stress, when virtually all the media is full of dangers, heartaches, misery, scandal, and man's worst characteristics made manifest, the bad news becomes overwhelming. Fear, scandal, bad news sells papers and draws viewers . Drowning in the cesspool, many people either withdraw and ignore the state of affairs, or surrender to hopelssness and helplessness, believing that there is no way to change things.

The rare news of goodness, decency, courage and strength is a welcome beacon of light and reminds us that there is Hope for mankind after all. When it appears that evil is overpowering, it is an inspiration to remember that good surrounds us. Good just doesn't get much press.
