Colin's blog traces his journey to find and create a meaningful, satisfying life for himself after a devastating physical injury that leaves him paralyzed at the very onset of his adult life. His bravery, fortitude and determined outlook is a tribute to the power of the human spirit and an inspiration to each of us.

I have worked at the Texas Institute for Research and Rehabilitation in the Houston Medical Center and have seen first hand the utter desolation, despair and crushing grief people experience when suddenly faced with such a devastating loss and destruction of their lives as they knew it. Those who can overcome the negative aspects and meet the challenges of a completely different life are a testament to humankind's strength of will and spirit. It gives us Hope. Colin is a Hero.
