STEP AWAY FROM THE DILDO !!

For crying out loud !! What's next? A ban on all intimate joining except in the missionary position? Ban fellatio, ban cunnilingus? Have our lawmakers gone completely nuts? Several years ago the police broke in on a gay couple here in Houston and arrested them for violating a law against certain intimate activities that were illegal, even though those activities are practised by both heterosexual and homosexual couples. The gay couple fought the charge and won. Anyway, what business does the government or the law have peeking into the private bedrooms of consenting adults?

Our various government bodies are leaning more and more to the fundie right positions on morality (excepting apparently child molesters). They want to ban abortions, ban contraception, ban homosexuality, heavens knows what else, and now ban sex toys? What in the blue blazes makes it the government's business if adults want sex toys?

I have no particular views pro or con about sex toys. I have known several married couples who believed that such additions to their intimate relationships enhanced the experience. And I know two single women who freely laud the joys of sex with such things; one even had her vibrator named - Fred. As far as I'm concerned, that is their own private business and no one else's.

At the Texas Institue For Research and Rehabilitation in the Medical Center here in Houston, the medical staff gave seminars to paralyzed and handicapped patients on ways and means to maintain intimate relations and sexual health with their partners - and pretty darned graphically, I might add, and in some ways using sex toys. There is more than one way to skin a cat. The patients were very grateful as they had believed that part of their lives was over. Sexuality is an important part of the human condition.

And please enlighten this old, out of touch with the modern world great grandma, what use are those things in "law enforcement purposes"?

You young folks that are still active in intimate fields of endeavor had better watch your Ps & Qs. The fundies and government may be watching!! WA
