DeLay and Reelection
I think this from the Washington Post today is good news. The DeLay crowd certainly can't blame the moderate to liberal members of the Supreme Court since the decision was made by Justice Alito (excuse me - it was Scalia, I have problems remembering which is which).
We have several readers from Texas. Anyone have any opinions who knows the state better than I?. Does DeLay have a chance at reelection for a seat he doesn't want and has resigned? What about a Republican writein?
Or do we finally stand a chance in that District?

Yes, he will be re-elected. No doubt about it. The people around here love him. A very large local influential church in my neck of the woods supports The Hammer and encourages its members to do the same. It's disgusting.

I just saw on the local news that DeLay said he would do whatever it takes not to have his name on the ballot, which would mean a write-in and that Lampson would win, but the repugs would take it back in 08. Time will tell.
