Hmmm. Granny, if I can make it to California, think we could pull a similar protest??
I have a wheelchair bound friend who said, "Hell yes! I'll do it!!"
It should make good photo ops for the press to see police dragging little old grannies out of wheelchairs and off mobility scooters. heh!
Wonder what they did about the granny with a walker? Walkers, crutches, canes, etc can be deemed potential weapons and many jails do not allow them. What do they do about elderly and handicapped who require mobility aids? What about wheelchairs and scooters?
Other prisoners with nefarious goals would find wheelchairs and scooters, especially those with batteries and electrical components, a treasure trove of materials for bad stuff. So the mobility aids would be inadmissible. So how do handicapped prisoners get around?
