FDA Approval of This Vaccine Is Still Pending
This is old news but perhaps we need a reminder. The primary group objecting to approval of this vaccine for cervical cancer is, of course, our old friends the "family values" gang.
They see the vaccine as an encouragement to promiscuity. These are the people who view life as "sacred" (right up to the moment of birth) but are perfectly willing to see women die of one of the most deadly of cancers rather than endorse a vaccine which would save lives worldwide.
According to the article, it's the poorest among us who are the most susceptible to the type(s) of cervical cancer which this vaccine has been successful in preventing. The delay is not only stupid but evidently racist as well.
It's a wake up call for all us who are concerned about the health of women. It's time to contact the FDA.

Advising women in nations hardest hit by AIDs to "just say no" and denying them contraceptives, denying abortions to AIDs infected women that assures innocent babies being born with the disease, allowing pharmacies to refuse to fill contraceptive prescriptions, denying birth control information to women and especially teeners, etc.etc.etc. not only assures more deaths but is the RR and CR method to control human sexuality, a la the Puritans.
It is impossible for outside forces to control one of the most primal forces of nature. Moral decisions to abstain from sex is a personal decision and can be made only by the individual.
But ofcourse the fanatics that influence government want to control people according to THEIR standards, in every way, in all areas of life. Total, complete control. And if in the meantime they kill off a few hundred thousand or million people, well, they need a reduction in excess population. See my earlier post on population control.
