The Worst President Ever?

There's no doubt in my mind even though I wasn't around for most of the runners-up (Buchanan and Harding). Nixon doesn't even come close.

This article from Rolling Stone and reprinted in Common Dreams provides a rundown of the reasons why.

Incidentally, I'm not ignoring the goings on at the White House. Just don't know if the heads have finished rolling yet and if what's his name from FOX will replace McClellan. I'm waiting to see what happens next.

Bush's place in history is assured, although it's not the on that Cheney and Rumsfeld and Bush think they'll occupy

Whether The Bushcos win or lose, America has lost. If they win, America and its citizens are ground under worse that the Germans or Russians ever were.

If they lose, America will bear the undying enmity of the entire Muslim world and its supporters, subject to vengeance attacks for years. Vultures like China and Russia will hover to pick the bones of a defunct nation, and no doubt joined by former allies such as India. Many generations of our citizens will struggle to survive in a bankrupt economy and forced to repay the enormous debt Bush has incurred, not to mention the war debt our nation will owe as reparations to the countries we have destroyed.

Bush's legacy is that he has destroyed America. His name will be a curse on the world's lips.

I've pretty much ignored the McClellan thing myself. This administration is hemorrhaging and I don't have the energy or the time to keep up anymore.
