CREEPING GOVERNMENT CONTROL
BLAIR AND BUSH ARE OF ONE ACCORD REGARDING CONTROL OF THE CITIZENS IN THE NAME OF "WAR ON TERROR", YET IS BUT A THINLY DISGUISED MEANS OF CITIZEN CONTROL UNDER A COMING TOTALITARIAN GOVERNMENT.
Shades of Sci-Fi. We have read of the implantation of RFID microchips into the arms of employees of certain business so that they may access secure areas without using key cards, and also the chips could be used in place of credit/ATM cards to make payments; iris scans of parents and children at pilot schools; eye scans of people being checked for drug usage; the government offering "special cards" to frequent flyers so they may pass through at airline checks without undergoing all the security hassles - the cards are encoded with information that proves the flyer is a good guy and not a terrorist, but what other personal info is encoded?
Bush wants a National Drivers License for the US but so far the states are kicking up a ruckus because of the tremendous cost. Bush's National Drivers License is nothing more than a national I.D. card - and is worthless as a means of i.d.ing terrorists. Not only do we have tremendous numbers of citizens with "foreign" surnames, but countless legitimate visitors from every country in the world who are able to get legal drivers licenses.
False I.D.s are available to anyone with the know-how so that personal information appears legitimate, and therefore useless as proof of citizenship on your D.L. Also, ever heard of Identity Theft? People with agendas other that thievery can do the same so that all info is perfectly legitimate and checkable.
Almost everyone in the industrialized nations and many in the "3rd World" countries have drivers licenses and credit cards, so these are good starting points for national I.D.s, encoded information and tracking devices. Getting people accustomed to the usage and convenience of such devices on "plastic" is a way to make them more amenable to implanted devices.
Unless we can get people with integrity and honor in Congress , who will uphold the Constitution and reverse some of the damage Bushco has done to our country, these things are coming.

Too much encoded information possible, ability to track all citizens at all times, too great a danger of hacking in spite of government assurances that hacking impossible. Any safety protocols implemented can be overcome by good hackers, as any computer user knows.

Note warning in text. Big Brother. With projected business income of this magnitude, it isn't going to go away.
Check out the "related subjects" at end of articles. I didn't copy links to all of them. One does speak of Bush's National Drivers Licenses to contain RFIDs.
Years ago I read an article from Florida about injecting tracking tags in dogs so pet owners could find lost dogs. The article also mentioned how wonderful it would be to inject the tags in children so that abductees could be found. A poll of parents revealed a majority were in favor. What parent wouldn't want a means of quickly finding a stolen child? I do not know if such a program was started or not. I'm sure the tracking tags were quite primitive compared to the technologically advanced RFIDs of today.
But it shows the thought of human implantation was present even then, and more time to think up greater uses for them.A lot of church people became incensed, believing the tags were the "mark of the beast", the Revelations prophecy about in the latter days everyone would have to bear the mark in order to buy, sell, or work. If RFID embedded national identity cards become law, it is probable that we will be required to have them for many reasons. The non-radical Christians will, no doubt, object strenuously.

The issue of integrity in public service is one of our central problems, especially on the national level. The Beltway encircles a large festering sore.
A few people have been working very hard for many years to get us into this mess. We won't emerge from it easily.
Many of the key idealogues in this administration have been playing key roles in government since the Nixon administration (Cheney, Rumsfield, Wolfowitz). The idea that this government can be compared to a silent coup seems to hold some truth.
