According to the Houston Chronicle the President has stated that laws regarding pay scales for contractors to rebuild New Orleans will be relaxed, and that more illegal aliens will be allowed to enter the U.S. in order to fill the labor needs.

Also according to the Houston Chronicle 7,5oo people, some residents and some evacuees from Louisiana, had applied for jobs at a local Job Fair. How many other citizens and residents of our badly damaged and impoverished coastal towns desperately need jobs in order to recover from the catastrophes that have hit the Gulf Coast?

Do we really need more illegal aliens to enter our country to fill these estimated 5 year jobs, or should citizens fill the positions?

It is a common practise of many contractors to hire illegals because they can pay them less than citizens, which means that supervisors then must be bilingual in order to tell workers what to do.

Update: Recently the government rescinded the order that wage caps could be suspended.
