Simplifying Military Opt Out

A California Assemblywoman has introduced a bill to make it easier for parents to opt out of the Military's aggressive recruiting practices. The opt-out info would be a part of the emergency information on the student's registration. Simple and Acting for Change has a letter all Californians can sign and send to their assemblyperson.

I realize that I may be the only Californian around these parts but this is something other states could introduce.

Our kids can make their own decisions about the military as one of mine has. However, I'd like that decision to be made with a clear head and a knowledge of all the facts. I don't believe the recruiters do this.

Take a look at the article.
