The Future Was Yesterday said...
It sure as hell isn't as good as when we stepped in, that's for sure. Of the many things I'm deeply ashamed of, my generation's legacy has to rank close to the top.

What a beautiful photograph, Worried.
How could any parent abandon their kids to a childcare centre while they chase the almighty dollar?
Capitalism needs to be given the boot and parents need to assume their real responsibilities again, I reckon.- WA: Many parents are caught in the economic crunch and it takes 2 incomes to survive. I'm not talking about the 3 car, summer home/town home folks. I mean Mr. and Mrs. Blue Collar that struggles just to make the rent and buy groceries -- and the kids fall in the health care crack, too much money to qualify for aid and yet not enough money to meet astronomical health insurance payments or the equally astronomical medical fees. And our national economic situation is in the toilet, thanks to BushCo. More privation here and worse coming for the citizens. When people cannot earn their bread, they have a choice of starvation and homelessness OR resort to crime.
- It has happened historically and will happen in the future -- and now. But our government doesn't give a damn about the citizens.
