Good News - For a Change

The Nobel Prize for Literature has been awarded to 87 year old Doris Lessing. In an interview, she called it a "royal flush". She'd won everything else.

Sure took them long enough but at least she's still around to enjoy it.

WA, Gadfly, we're spring chickens in comparison. Who knows what lies around the bend?

Yep. It’s excellent news. Doris was so wonderful on the BBC broadcast when she got off the bus (?) and the reporter informed she had won the Nobel. Here attitude was basically, “So what?”
