Funny stuff. A long time ago, the Evangelical Free Church in Pine City, MN had a mailbox on the side of the road in its rural setting. It said, "Ass of God"

David, yes we are for the most part or I wouldn't be a member but some of it depends on the part of the country, etc.
The Methodist church one town down the road from me split a couple of years ago - straight down lib/cons lines. The ultra conservatives, incuding the pastor, left and started their own storefront church.
