The American Taliban and the Imperialists Rush to Annihilation

OK, so Iraq was a turkey shoot, a hopelessly out gunned army against an overwhelming force. And Bush strutted in his fantasy costume of pilot and announced Mission Accomplished. But the turkey shoot has proven to have serious complications, resulting in a quagmire worse than Vietnam. Starting brushfires can be dangerous; they can get out of hand and become raging infernos enveloping the entire forest. Cheney and Rummy: did you find the Arabs harder to manipulate and control than the South Americans and Africans?

And now our fearless leaders (none of whom ever saw combat) want to attack Iran and Syria. No one came to Iraq's defense, but the illegal attack on Iraq enraged the Muslim world and turned many moderates against the US. The US backed attack on Lebanon by Israel further enraged Muslims (and non-Muslims) and turned many more against the US. However, unlike Iraq, Iran and Syria have backers to aid in their defense.

Russia backs Syria; she wants Syria's warm water ports and will not take kindly to losing access to them. Warm water ports have long been a bone of contention between Russia and other States. Russian made anti-tank weapons have been found in the hands of Hezbollah. Russia exports $4 billion in arms to Venezuela, against whom Bush has rattled the sabres of war. Russia stands up for Iran and indicates that she will back Iran. So further MiddleEast conflict raises the possibility of war with Russia.and the involvement of other anti-American nations.

Do the wing nuts care? NO, the American Taliban (Christian Extremists) assures them that Russia will be defeated in the GREAT WAR; ergo, the "Christian" nations will win. So, who cares about the number of deaths also prophesized, the important thing is that they will win.

Glory, Hallelujah, and Amen -- Onward Christian Soldiers. Bring about the End Times. Bring about the Return of the Messiah. And all the glorious elite, the CR, RR and CC, will be co-rulers with the Messiah. They will help God Incarnate rule over the world.

Yeah. Right. It does not seem to occur to them that they might be WRONG. That they may have misinterpreted the scriptures . That the world wide war they initiate may NOT herald the return of the Messiah, and mankind will be left with a ruined planet and humankind virtually, if not completely, exterminated.

I remember another nation whose leader was bent on world domination and whose advisors assured him that prophecy was on his side; he would be victorious. Umm-Hmm. His name was Adolph Hitler and his nation was Germany. His advisors were proven wrong and the prophecies were either erroneous or misinterpreted. Bush seems hell-bent on emulating his hero, Hitler, so he should study Hitler's fate.
