A Hypocrite In His Own Words

Let me say up front - I have no problem with the plea bargain (and that's what it was just as the arrest was an arrest). I'm a believer in rehabilitation, not jail, for users.

However, look at what Rush believes - or did

From Zay N. Smith - Chicago Sun-Times - Quick Takes

======================

Rush Limbaugh and prosecutors reach plea deal calling for drug fraud charge against him to be dropped if he stays drug-free. This is the humane and sensible resolution. As Limbaugh himself has observed about our drug laws:

"These tough sentencing laws were instituted for a reason."

No. Wait.

As Limbaugh himself has said:

"We're becoming too tolerant as a society, folks, especially about crime."

No Wait.

More to the point was when he said: "If people are violating the law by doing drugs, they ought to be accused and they ought to be convicted and they ought to be sent up."

No. Wait. . .

  1. It's hard to feel sorry for a man who has made a career of dumping on those weaker than him.

  2. As a newly minted "lover-of-America" (courtesy of Rex Kramer, Danger Seeker), I found for the first time that Mr. Limbaugh and I were in perfect agreement. Then I got a bolt through my little frog brain.

    But, I'm not worried. You can't afford to be when you love America as much as I do. ;-)

  3. All cured, thank you very much. Turns out I only had 4 "freedom-loving" posts in me before the Kommandos came and knocked some sense into my little frog brain.

    I'm now back, refreshed, regurgitated, with all the bile and twice the snark!
